Winstanley Associates Earns Three-year Contract with Commonwealth of Massachusetts
Agency has been awarded a standing contract with state-wide vendors
(LENOX, Mass. - November 25, 2008) Winstanley Associates has been awarded a
standing contract with the Commonwealth
of Massachusetts, which designates the agency as an accepted vendor for design, Web-development,
marketing, and advertising services for a wide range of state-based clients.
In addition to more than 350 cities and towns throughout Massachusetts, the contract also makes it
possible for Winstanley to work with more than 100 courthouses, approximately 500 public school
districts, and thousands of social service providers, among other departments and offices. All executive
offices are required to use statewide contracts for purchases, and several quasi-public and non-profit
entities are also eligible to solicit bids from these vendors.
The contract will remain open from Sept. 1, 2008 to Aug. 31, 2011, and allows the agency to respond
to solicitations for work as well as make bids using Comm-PASS (the Commonwealth’s Procurement
Access and Solicitation System).
State contracts for goods and services, which are awarded by the Operational Services Division (OSD),
require a high-level of professionalism on the part of the vendor. Accepted service and goods
providers must maintain membership in appropriate professional organizations, have an up-to-date
Web site, encourage environmentally friendly products and operations, and submit quarterly sales
reports to the OSD.
In return, the division offers approved vendors additional marketing assistance for their services. This
include an online portal through which solicitations for business can be made, bids managed, and
vendors’ services detailed, the $ave$mart program, which creates additional cost savings and
opportunities for all eligible entities utilizing statewide contracts, free training opportunities, and a
number of vendor fairs held throughout the year.
