LENOX, Mass. – Winstanley Associates, ad agency of the Berkshires, recently received
10 ADDY® awards, presented by the American Advertising Federation (AAF) at the
regional level of competition. Four of those wins were gold, and will be forwarded
automatically to the national ADDY competition in June.
The agency submitted 10 entries, ranging from Web sites to print brochures, identity
packages, and mixed-media campaigns, and won an ADDY for each entry – four golds,
four silver, and two bronze awards. Four of the winning entries were also developed in
tandem with Winstanley Associates’ sister company, Lenox Softworks (LSW).
The wins follow an equally impressive run during the 2008 ADDY awards for Winstanley
and LSW; last year, the agency took home the most gold awards of any entrant, and went
on to win a silver ADDY at the national level for a self-promotional mailer titled
‘Winstanley Nothing.’
This year, gold awards were presented for a Web site developed for Directed Financial
Goals Advisors (dfgadvisors.com) of Ridgewood, N.J.; the Southworth ‘PaperRocks’
online campaign, created for Southworth Paper of Agawam, Mass.; a print campaign for
Smith & Wesson revolvers of Springfield, Mass., and the Winstanley Pet Peeve, an
interactive self-promotional piece.
In addition, the agency won four silver awards for a mixed-media campaign developed
for Agilix of Orem, Utah; ADDY promotional materials created for the 2008 regional
awards in Western Mass.; a Smith & Wesson poster titled ‘History Repeats,’ and another
interactive self-promotional mailer titled ‘Winstanley Economic Stimulus Spray.’ A third
self-promotional mailer, ‘Winstanley Whacky Pax,’ won a bronze ADDY award, as did the
design of a trade publication advertisement for Suddekor, headquartered in Agawam,
Mass.
The AAF, a not-for-profit industry association, is headquartered in Washington, D.C. It’s
the country’s leading trade association for the advertising industry, and conducts the
ADDY® Awards through its 200 member advertising clubs and 15 districts, receiving
more than 60,000 entries annually. For more information, visit aaf.org or winstanley.com.
